As minority parties in the House of Representatives are getting set to unveil principal officers, Hon. Segun Abdel-Majid Adekoya, representing Ijebu-North/Ijebu-East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, Ogun State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is being touted for Deputy Minority Whip position. It was learnt that a third-term member from the South-south was endorsed the Minority Leader, a fourth-term member from Kaduna State, was endorsed Deputy Minority Leader, and another fourth-term member from the Southeast is being tipped for the position of Minority Whip. The Guardian learnt that since the two slots to the South have been occupied by Christians, Adekoya, a Muslim, from Southwest, was endorsed for Deputy Minority Whip for balancing. The House of Representatives is expected to name its minority principal officers, when it resumes from recess on July 2, 2019.
